While it was pretty disappointing to learn that Avowed had been delayed until February 18, 2025, there is still some good news to be had. That's because director Carrie Patel revealed new information about the Avowed's storyline, including the sheer number of endings that exist.
I have a bit of a completionist streak at times, and I bet you do, too.
In an interview with IGN as part of Gamescom, Patel shared that there isn't just one ending. When asked about how many, they had this to say:
That’s very hard to say.
I can tell you that our ending slides number in the double digits, and you can end up with a lot of different combinations of them.
The ending slides are in reference to the post-game images that provide context about the world after the player has completed the game. Double digits certainly are more than 10, which means that there will be no shortage of unique endings.
Patel added:
This is an Obsidian game, so your ending is really the sum total of your choices across the game, across a lot of pieces of content, depending on what you encountered and what you did when you...
