Sony has revealed some of the games it will exhibit at the PlayStation booth during the upcoming 2024 iteration of Tokyo Game Show. Scheduled to take place from September 26 to September 29, PlayStation's attendance as a general exhibitor at Tokyo Game Show 2024 is rather noteworthy, as the gaming giant was last present at the Japanese event in a similar capacity half a decade ago.
The relevance of physical gaming trade shows has diminished in recent years, especially after the 2020 pandemic. Online livestreams like State of Plays and Nintendo Directs have taken over, and E3's permanent cancellation has only driven the point home further. Even though it's one of the biggest players in the games industry, Sony's participation at third-party trade shows has waned since 2019, with the company mostly sticking to its State of Play and Showcase livestream formats to announce first-party games.
