The world of Pokémon GO will forever change on September 3 with the arrival of a new update for the mobile game. The popular title consistently receives updates as a live-service game and, over the course of years, has expanded significantly, moving beyond the creatures from Kanto and into several other generations. There are still several rare Pokémon in Pokémon GO yet to be introduced, and some of them will starting on September 3, along with a brand-new gameplay mechanic.
As was announced by developer Niantic through a post on the official Pokémon GO account on X (formerly Twitter), the starter Pokémon from the region of Galar will finally be made available on September 3, as well as the Dynamax mechanic. The post came with a short video teasing the new additions.
As can be seen from the video, Scorbunny, Grookey, and Sobble – the Gen 8 starters from Galar – walk in a straight line crossing a street. Shortly after, they are followed by what seems like a Dynamax Wooloo. The video serves as an announcement for the Max Out season, which will start on September 3 and last until December 3.
