There's a constantly raging debate in the Stardew Valley community over which marriage candidate is the best spouse and one player may have just figured out the definitive answer. After one pops the question in Stardew Valley, wedded life isn't too dissimilar from the standard day-to-day the farmer experienced before they were hitched with the core difference being they'll have a partner to help around the home and occasionally cook meals. Only the most foolhardy players will realize the extent to which a spouse will go to prove their love.
Posted to Reddit by chocolacta, the user shared a moment when Haley, their in-game spouse, defied all expectations placed upon her by rescuing the Farmer from a mining trip.
The dialogue notes that Haley came looking for the player after they took too long to make it home, further noting that she "almost had a heart attack" when she discovered her partner's "limp body." While all spouses will come to the rescue when a player runs out of HP, venturing into the mines is so against Haley's character that her love for the Farmer is clearly greater than anyone else.
