Splitgate 2 will add even more Factions to its game if the fans want them badly enough. Splitgate 2 was announced to fans after a long wait. One of the biggest changes to the sequel of the Halo-inspired game was the inclusion of Factions, which has become somewhat divisive among the Splitgate community. Some fans feel this makes the game closer to a hero shooter in a way they aren't fond of. Some think the Factions are closer to a loadout system and don't mind.
As it is right now, Splitgate 2 will include 3 Factions that players can choose between. Factions essentially function as loadouts, each coming with their own set of unique abilities and gadgets. There is Aeros, which is geared towards agility and aggressive play, Meridian, for those interested in running support, and Sabrask, useful for defensive gameplay. Players will be able to compose teams however they like, but they cannot switch Factions until the end of rounds.
