Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will be shut down in most markets come October 2024. The decision to shelve the Harry Potter mobile game was made shortly following the one-year anniversary of its international debut.

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a collectible card game with RPG elements developed by NetEase subsidiary Zen Studio. It was soft-launched in China and Taiwan in September 2021 before receiving an international release in late June 2023. Aside from Android and iOS devices, the game was also ported to PC, although its desktop version was only ever made available in Asia.

Hogwarts Legacy players will be able to pick up special rewards in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions when it launches on September 3.

Publisher Warner Bros. Games has now announced it intends to shut down Harry Potter: Magic Awakened in the Americas, Oceania, and Europe. The mobile CGG's servers in these regions will cease operations on October 29, the company said. Ahead of that move, WB Games had already pulled Harry Potter: Magic Awakened from the iOS App Store and Google Play Store in the West, opting to delist it on August 26.
