CD Red Projekt Red has been sticking true to its work over the past year or so, releasing various in-depth development updates on all of its current crop of titles, including sequels to Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. We've known about every step in development on both, but the developer has now revealed that "substantial progress" has been made on the next entry in The Witcher series.
In CD Projekt Red's latest earnings report, the studio has outlined exactly what it's been up to during the first half of 2024, announcing that it's now "gearing up" to enter full production of the next Witcher game, which is currently codenamed "Project Polaris." It's further explained that the progress that has been made this year will allow the studio to wrap up pre-production of The Witcher 4 very shortly, meaning it's now all hands on deck.
