Star Wars Outlaws Fans Are Upset With Ubisoft's Apology Gift

In case you missed it, Star Wars Outlaws has some pretty nasty game-breaking bugs on the PlayStation 5. Those bugs prompted Ubisoft to send an email requesting players to update their version of the game, as well as begin a new save file in order to "fully enjoy Star Wars Outlaws as our team intended."

And if you don't?

"If you continue on a prior save you will unfortunately face issues and progression blockers."

While the full game won't be released until tomorrow (Aug. 30), numerous players have been playing the game early via the Gold Edition ($109.99) and Ultimate Edition ($129.99). In other words, these are hardcore Star Wars fanatics, the kind that are paying big money to play early. They are also the ones being impacted the most by having to restart from scratch.

The first true open world Star Wars game is a triumph, but isn't without its flaws.

And so, in order to make up for it, Ubisoft has given PS5 players an in-game trinket and 100 Ubisoft Connect Units, a currency for in-game items or other Ubisoft rewards.

Yep, that's it. A trinket and some made-up money. Again, these are gamers...
