When it comes to creepy Pokémon, the community has a decent spread from which to choose but one pocket monster is so notoriously eerie that giving him an official plush seems like an odd move. While enthusiasts who enjoy the more macabre Pokémon throughout the series may gravitate towards Ghost-types like Gengar, Mimikyu, and Polteageist, the most unintentionally upsetting critter is a Psychic/Fairy-type. Having been around since the very first game, Mr. Mime has earned a reputation as being especially unsettling, but now those who enjoy the Pokémon can give him a cuddle in real life.
Over on the Pokémon Center, one of the latest additions to the store is a plush Mr. Mime Hugging Plush that measures 35.5 inches. The toy, which features elongated arms to facilitate easier hugs, costs an eye-watering $64.99 so only the most devout Mr. Mime fans will likely shell out to add him to their bedroom decor. What makes the design especially unsettling is the dead-eyed star and emotionless expression, but one has to ask whether having a smiling Mr. Mime hanging out on their bed is better or worse.
