A new leak from Genshin Impact is suggesting a major change coming to the RPG in the near future, finally allowing players to move their accounts between different regions. The massively popular RPG has placed a major focus on quality-of-life updates for fans since the beginning of the Fontaine cycle late last year. HoYoverse has made numerous improvements, ranging from overhauling the Daily Commission system and adding in-game Artifact suggestions to introducing new systems for tracking valuable Genshin Impact resources. Now, a recent leak is teasing a significant change to player accounts.

While Genshin Impact offers a plethora of challenges for co-op players to take on together alongside exploring its world, the game's servers have often made teaming up difficult. Genshin Impact features four main servers for players to choose from when creating an account, with North America, Europe, Asia, and Taiwan receiving their own servers. Genshin Impact's servers are fully disconnected from one another, with players unable to transfer accounts or add friends from other regions. However, a recent rumor suggests HoYoverse may be looking to change that.
