From the winding channels of the Children of Echoes' Tequemecan Valley to the mountainous home of the Scions of the Canopy, Natlan's debut features a variety of diverse landscapes. One of the main storylines surrounding Genshin Impact's newest region has revolved around Natlan's ongoing conflict with the forces of The Abyss. The Abyss plays heavily into the overarching themes of the region, with the Pilgrimage of the Sacred Flame as a test to find strong warriors to combat the Abyss. Players even come into conflict multiple times with the Abyss throughout the story, helping to fight back encroaching enemies like the Rifthounds and Abyss Mages.
