Ahead of the series' 25th anniversary, the official social media accounts for the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series have updated their banners, leaving many fans hoping that a potential announcement is imminent.

The changes were first spotted online by Twitter user Wario64, and are visible across the YouTube, Twitter and Facebook accounts. They include a new profile picture, as well as a new banner commemorating the 25th anniversary.

As one Twitter user spotted, the banner has a new copyright featuring the year 2024. Perhaps that means nothing, though it's worth pointing out nonetheless.

Adding to the interest is a story on the Facebook page. That story implies a month-long celebration of the franchise. For reference, the first Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game debuted on September 29, 1999, meaning this is the 25th anniversary of the game that started it all.
