At PAX West 2024, Final Fantasy 14 lead user interface designer Kei Odagiri stated that some quality-of-life features, such as chat bubbles and a raid strategy planner, were still in development at Square Enix. Odagiri also stated some enhancements to the Group Pose feature would arrive in Final Fantasy 14 via future content updates.

The panel occurred amid a swarm of Final Fantasy 14 interviews conducted at Gamescom and PAX West and a month after the release of Patch 7.05. The latest content update for Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail brought the first Savage tier of the Arcadion raid series into the spotlight, challenged groups of level 100 players to delve into the Cenote Ja Ja Gural treasure dungeon, and introduced some balance changes for Jobs such as Viper, Monk, and Black Mage. The balance updates to Viper and Monk also meant Square Enix had to alter their respective Job gauges to reflect the changes made in Patch 7.05.
