The Persona series has always had a dedicated fanbase, but over the last few years, it has stepped further and further into the limelight, becoming the RPG powerhouse that it is today.
While Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 have all received love over the past eight years, the first two games in the franchise have been left behind.
We spoke with a few of the Atlus devs about how Metaphor: ReFantazio is the culmination of all their experience on previous titles.
That may not be the case for much longer, however, as series general producer Kazuhisha Wada has hinted that they may get some love further down the line.
Speaking to Gamespot about the upcoming Metaphor: ReFantazio, the Persona veteran was asked if he'd consider remaking the first two games in the series.
He told Gamespot that he'd "like to do it someday," but "it's not on my schedule right now."
