The Nintendo Switch 2 hype is currently targeting an announcement window, but a respected video games leaker has predicted there won’t be any new details on the handheld this month. Industry insiders were previously discussing a potential announcement for the Switch successor arriving in September. However, it’s looking more likely that information will be kept back by the Japanese titan until later in the year.

An analyst recently forecasted the Nintendo Switch 2’s release window and discussed the handheld’s potential price range, since Nintendo confirmed the successor console would be announced before the end of its fiscal year. It was also noted that the publisher would be prioritizing sizable stock to combat launch shortages, but Nintendo is wary of starting production until the console is officially announced to minimize leaks.

The Switch may not be powerful enough to run Monster Hunter Wilds, but a port of the game on Nintendo's next-gen console would be a perfect fit.
