Ubisoft Confirms Recruits Can Be Summoned During Combat In Assassin's Creed Shadows

Ubisoft has confirmed in a recent social media post that Assassin's Creed Shadows will bring back the recruitment summoning mechanic from Brotherhood, although we don't yet know how deep the mechanic is going to be.

Ever since Assassin's Creed Red was re-revealed as Shadows earlier this year, a lot of the conversation surrounding the game has sadly been taken up by the usual disingenuous crowd calling it "woke". That's even more of a shame than usual, though, as the details that Ubisoft has shared about Shadows make it sound like a stealthy return to form.

Ubisoft has already highlighted several features that are returning from past Asssassin's Creed games, such as double assassinations, but its most recent confirmation might be the most exciting yet. Over on Twitter, the official Assassin's Creed account shared an image of Naoe summoning recruits from the Creed to help her out in battle.

Alongside showing the recruits in action, the post from Assassin's Creed's official Twitter page confirms that players will be able to "call your shinobi recruits for support in combat", suggesting that the mechanic will work like it did when it was...
