One of the major selling points for Xbox Game Pass has been its day-one titles, with many major first and third-party titles coming to Microsoft's subscription upon their launch. This has included games from the likes of the Halo, Gears of War, and Forza franchises, but this October will see one of the biggest titles to launch on the service yet.
After recent changes to the Xbox Game Pass subscription that included price increases, only those in select tiers receive day-one titles. This has proven to be controversial among players, who may have to wait at least a year if they are not on the more premium tiers.
As confirmed earlier this year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 25. Although the previous entry in the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,came to Xbox Game Pass in July, this was still several months after its original November 2023 release date, making Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 the upcoming title in the hugely successful shooter franchise to come to the subscription upon its launch.
