Sony has quietly increased the prices of its PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers by $5 across the board. The company did not officially announce the price increase to its PlayStation 5 player base, but the new pricing is already live at retailers around the world.

The DualSense controller is often considered to be one of the best controllers in the market today with its haptic feedback capabilities, gyro aiming, and adaptive trigger features. In 2022, PlayStation expanded the controller's functionality to PC with the DualSense firmware updater app, allowing PC gamers to connect their PS5 controllers and leverage its features in supported titles. PlayStation brought a new premium iteration of the DualSense in 2023 called the DualSense Edge, which caters to gamers wanting mappable and more precise controls in a variety of games. In recent months, PlayStation continued to introduce more DualSense controllers to the market, including the limited-edition Concord and Astro Bot DualSense controllers released on August 23 and September 6 respectively.

A bunch of players are reporting that their Astro Bot DualSense controller has been delayed with no information on a new expected arrival date.
