After months of speculation and leaks, the PlayStation 5 Pro has finally been revealed. Yesterday, a technical presentation with the PS5's Lead Architect, Mark Cerny, was announced, focusing on the PS5 and "innovations in gaming technology." This description led many to believe the PS5 Pro was on the way, and a further unlisted video titled "PS5 Pro" cemented that this would be the case.

In the live stream on the official PlayStation YouTube channel, Cerny confirmed that the PS5 Pro would be improved in three ways: An improved CPU, advanced Ray Tracing, and AI-driven upscaling called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR). With these combined, players are able to get far greater visuals at a higher frame rate, with the new console boasting double the power.
