Harebrained Schemes, the developer behind Necropolis and the Shadowrun series, is launching their newest game today titled "BattleTech." Set in the year 3025, BattleTech has players controlling large mechs in an XCOM-like turn-based strategy game. With a small group of mercenary Mechs and MechWarriors, players attempt to upgrade their battalion, improve their base, and eliminate their opponents.

The first wave of reviews have just arrived, putting the game at a 'Mighty' 84.

The game is available on Green Man Gaming and GamesPlanet. You can watch its story trailer here.
