A new leak from Genshin Impact is teasing a major change coming to the Version 5.1 update to the Spiral Abyss game mode, hinting at tougher enemies for players to challenge. HoYoverse has added a wide variety of permanent content for players to engage with after completing the game's story, ranging from challenging battles to entirely new mini-games. Spiral Abyss and the recently added Imaginarium Theater serve as Genshin Impact's main endgame content, while Genius Invokation TCG offers players a fully playable card game based on the RPG. Now, one endgame mode is set to receive a major change.
Spiral Abyss has stood as Genshin Impact's oldest form of endgame content, first added with the game's original launch in late 2020. The game mode features a constantly changing lineup of enemies for its highest floors, with an array of powerful enemies and bosses rotating out every month. The upper floors of the Spiral Abyss also offer special buffs and bonuses for players to utilize, often based around Genshin Impact's newest characters. A new change may now make the Spiral Abyss's toughest challenge even harder.
