Flappy Bird Creator Disavows New Game, Hints Potential Crypto Scam

As we recently reported, the famous mobile game Flappy Bird is back with a revamped look to capture the eye of the present-day gamer. Originally earning infamy for being quickly pulled off the app store amid its rapid success.

Despite that, a recent statement from the original creator denies any connection to the new release.

Of which we already had an inkling, as the IP was reportedly picked up after a lapse of ownership to the IP and the new version is set to be created by the Flappy Bird Foundation Group.

However, the real juicy tidbit in the statement was that he also alludes to crypto intentions behind the surface of the new release. This could mean thatthis rising popularity of a new Flappy Bird game could be a devious new scheme to get-rich-quick via a Blockchain scam.

Regarding the creator's involvement, we are not surprised they want to clearly distinguish that this project is not directly related to them, as indicated by the events of the original Flappy Bird, not to mention the nefarious nature of many blockchain companies and projects.
