Rumors are that Pokémon Legends: Z-A may bring back one of the best features from Legends: Arceus, as seen from an official patent filed by Nintendo. Legends: Z-A should be the next main game from the franchise, as it is the only one announced so far as players eagerly await the reveal of the Generation 10 games. While the details are still scarce, the upcoming title should build upon the format offered by Legends: Arceus and possibly take advantage of some gameplay features in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

It seems like one of the main gameplay mechanics from these games may make a return. As seen in a patent filed by Nintendo (via ComicBook), Ride Pokémon or mounts may return in Legends: Z-A. The official programming language used in the patent may leave more details open to interpretation and the specific title it refers to is not confirmed, but it does seem like players’ characters in an upcoming game will be able to alter between their “boarding target objects,” which may very well be the Ride Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
