Fallout Fan Catches Amazing Real-Life Picture Of An Iconic New Vegas Location

Fallout: New Vegas has plenty of landmarks that became instantly iconic amongst the community, but this player was lucky enough to see one in real life. Within a playthrough of Obsidian Entertainment's beloved RPG, players will likely stumble upon Helios One, a massive solar farm commandeered by the New California Republic. The organization is doing its best to reactivate the technology in a bid to provide its various outposts with power, but players can alter the group's plans by making some changes to the system and going so far as to share electricity with the whole Mojave.

Posted to Reddit by user geotristan, the lucky fan shared an image of an actual solar farm built just outside Las Vegas.

The aerial shot of the facility captures the familiar formation of the solar panels surrounding a central building, a place many New Vegas fans will likely recognize as Helios One's head of operations. It's worth noting that the solar farm, which is likely Ivanpah Solar Power Facility, probably didn't inspire the location in New Vegas given that it only began construction in 2010, the same year New Vegas was released.
