Cities: Skylines 2 developer Colossal Order has shared a new update on the city builder's upcoming releases, announcing that two upcoming creator packs have been delayed to Q4 of 2024 while also stating that the console versions are continuing to be worked on. Cities: Skylines 2 was originally intended to launch on PC and consoles on the same date, but the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions have faced multiple setbacks.

While its predecessor is often considered one of the best city-building games around, Cities: Skylines 2 had a rocky launch back in 2023. Just one month before the sequel was set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, Colossal Order confirmed that the console versions would be pushed back to Spring 2024. The developer would then go on to delay the console versions once again, with a new release window set for October 2024, as the studio cited optimization issues as the reason for the delay. Then, in July, Colossal said it would be unable to meet the October release window and did not provide a new date for its release.
