A board game based on the setting of Cyberpunk 2077 has greatly surpassed its crowdfunding goal, raising over $5 million USD just over ten minutes after the campaign went live. Cyberpunk 2077 - The Board Game is exactly what it sounds like: a tabletop game for one to four players, featuring characters, concepts, and locations from the titular video game and the wider Cyberpunk setting that inspired it.

Cyberpunk 2077 - The Board Game has raised over $5,500,000 on Gamefound, a crowdfunding platform designed specifically for tabletop games, at the time of writing. It met its initial goal of $100,000 just over ten minutes after the campaign began, and has since surpassed it by over 5,500%, placing it in the top ten most-funded games in site history The funding comes from over 22,000 backers, contributing an average of roughly $248 each. Almost every single one of its stretch goals has also been met, adding several new characters, cards, modes, and missions to the expansive tabletop game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is already an incredibly engrossing game but CD Projekt Red just made it even more immersive with this surprise patch.
