This Beloved PlayStation Classic Is Getting A Remaster, According To New ESRB Listing

Horizon Zero Dawn is already a beautiful game but Sony is seemingly gearing up to make the open-world action-adventure title even prettier. Released in 2017, Horizon managed to impress critics with its stunning open-world and impressive visuals but Guerilla Games unfortunately launched alongside The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a title that stole a great deal of its audience. Despite the bad timing, Aloy's adventure in a future populated by robot dinosaurs managed to resonate with players, quickly elevating Horizon into the upper echelons of first-party PlayStation games.

Per a new rating on the official website of the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), Sony will soon announce a remastered version of Horizon Zero Dawn for PlayStation 5 and PC. No other information on the project is specified beyond the standard age rating that appears largely unchanged from the original release. Zero Dawn is already playable on PlayStation 5 so one has to imagine that a remaster will significantly overhaul the game's graphics and make use of the DualSense controller's haptics to justify a re-release on the current generation console.
