Despite rumors that Rockstar Games has internally delayed the planned 2025 release of GTA 6, parent company Take-Two Interactive has confirmed otherwise. Since the game's first trailer released nine months ago, Rockstar has been suspiciously quiet on the game's development, leaving players anxiously awaiting more news as the planned release window inches closer.
The silence and lack of new teasers from Rockstar led to rumors that the game may be delayed past its Fall 2025 release window - other developers have been steadily feeding players more content for other 2025 releases, and the gap for Rockstar is an unusually long one. Thankfully, despite the rumors, GTA 6 will still release as planned, as an annual report for Take-Two (Rockstar's parent company) confirms that the game is still on track to release next Fall. The document, (via Indy 100) was released on Sept 18 and confirmed that at this moment, Rockstar is dedicated to its initially-planned release window.
In the 2024 Annual Report, Take Two writes:
