The upcoming weapons changes to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 threatens to affect the immense success that the title has been enjoying since its launch. As many fear this could be Helldivers 2 all over again.

During their first Q&A for the game, Focus Home Interactive talked about a wide variety of topics, including balancing.

Our main worry is that the developer team will nerf some of the badass guns in the game. If you follow Helldivers 2 news, you'll remember the disastrous impact the company's balancing choices had on the game's popularity.

Here's one of the comments that stood out to us:

While we agree that some changes are required, we and other Warhammer Grimdorks are afraid that certain weapons will be weakened to the point that we won't be able to use them for years to come.
