PlayStation has unveiled the PlayStation Anniversary Collection in recognition of 30 years of Sony consoles, including a very nostalgic special edition PlayStation 5. The very first PlayStation console debuted in December 1994, marking 30 years since the Sony-owned video game company made its mark on the scene. Since this debut, the company has released five different generations (with various upgrades and editions in between), with the PS5 being the most recent.
In celebration of the occasion, PlayStation is releasing a 30th Anniversary Collection, including limited edition digital and disc consoles. Available as bundles, the PlayStation 5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition BundIe, and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle, will be available for pre-order later this month. The special releases feature the PS5 remade in the likeness of the original gray PlayStation, along with the colorful PS logo, and a matching DualSense controller.
