The Cycle: Frontier may be dead, but developer Yager isn't letting sleeping dogs lie, as the studio has created a Fortnite map based on the game using the battle royale title's UEFN creative tool.
In an announcement post on its website, Yager says it created The Cycle: Prospect Island out of a desire to "keep the spirit alive" and to pay tribute to the game, which shut down in September last year.
Yager says that although it's currently working on its "different co-development ventures" and "new projects", it wanted to pay homage to the "tragic story" of The Cycle, which it says is "beloved" not only by its fans but by Yager as well.
In the post, Yager admits that "not everything that made The Cycle: Frontier shine can be brought into this project", but it says that the developers who worked on the map "brought as many ideas and visuals back to life as feasible".
If you load up the map, you'll begin in Prospect Station, and you can visit offices for The Cycle's various factions, where you'll get contracts you can fulfil in order to unlock new gear and play as individual "faction classes".
