The latest trailer for Silent Hill 2 Remake confirms the game's PlayStation 5 exclusivity period before seemingly teasing an Xbox release date. Ever since the announcement that Bloober Team's take on Silent Hill 2 would only be available on Sony's console, Xbox fans have actively pushed the developer to eventually bring it to other systems once the deal expires. Konami, who is publishing the game, has been especially cagey when talking about the upcoming release strategy, but if the latest trailer is any indication, it seems like Xbox players could have cause to celebrate.
Over on YouTube, Silent Hill 2 Remake's "Immersion Trailer" concludes with a line that reads, "Not available on other formats until 10.08.2025," implying that the PlayStation 5's exclusivity will expire on that date.
It seems safe to assume that Xbox is the intended subject since the phrase, "Also available on PC," is included in the same paragraph. Until such a time as Konami and Bloober Team make an official announcement, it's worth taking this with a grain of salt but aside from the Nintendo Switch, it's difficult to imagine another format that would support Silent Hill 2 Remake.
