StarCraft is coming to Game Pass on November 5, 2024, as both Remastered and Campaign Collection will be available to anyone with a PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard in 2023, Microsoft gained access to valuable franchises such as StarCraft, and it didn't take long for Blizzard titles to make their way to Microsoft's Game Pass service. Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 were both added to Game Pass in 2024, with the latter allowing players to unlock free cosmetics by linking their Xbox and Battle.net accounts.

Notably, the free skins for Overwatch 2 can be accessed on all platforms, and even come with an experience boost, provided players link their Battle.net and Xbox accounts by November 11, 2024. With two Blizzard franchises now a part of Game Pass, it was only a matter of time until StarCraft joined the subscription service. While real-time strategy may no longer be considered a mainstream genre, both StarCraft titles were massively popular during their time, and left behind an impressive legacy of e-sports and innovation.
