While Monster Hunter Wilds won’t be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC until February 2025, Capcom has already shared the required PC specs for PC gamers like myself who want to be sure their PCs are up to the task of playing the game. Don’t worry about me, I’m covered.
After reviewing the PC specs, I found them surprisingly modest considering the stunning visuals showcased in the trailers and what I experienced firsthand at the 2024 Summer Game Fest and later at PAX West 2024.
The requirements are higher than those for Monster Hunter World or Monster Hunter Rise, but they are comparable to Dragon’s Dogma 2. Interestingly, frame generation is mentioned under the “Recommended Specs,” but it’s unclear whether this refers to Nvidia’s Frame Generation, which is exclusive to their 4000 series cards, or AMD’s Frame Generation, which supports a broader range of GPUs compatible with FSR.
Keep in mind that these aren’t the requirements to play the game at 1440p or even 4K, which will require more powerful hardware, including the processor, GPU, and possibly more RAM.
