Starfield's already-large game is getting another massive update, thanks to the upcoming Shattered Space DLC - and it looks like this will be one of Bethesda's biggest. Everything that's already been revealed about the upcoming update promises players will have a plethora of new content to dive into when it unlocks, and the download size alone gives players even more reason to get excited.
The Shattered Space DLC, which is set to release on Sept. 30, will reportedly require 12 GB of space to download to consoles and PC, according to Redditor and dataminer Maleficent_Part2657. This will be Bethesda's biggest DLC to date, far outshining some of its prior best DLCs. For reference, the Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4 was only 2.69 GB, while the similarly-successful Nuka-World DLC was 3.66 GB.
When the Shattered Space DLC was announced in June, the trailer from Bethesda advertised a whole new world for players to explore in addition to an original story about one the base game's least-explained factions. With this DLC, players will get to venture to the world House Va'ruun originates from, bringing with it new characters and new quests.
