Final Fantasy 14's latest live letter has been and gone, revealing a bunch of new information about Patch 7.1. On top of more quests and details about the patch, it was revealed that it will be titled Crossroads, and will be released at some point in mid-November. No specific release date was announced just yet.
For starters, the live letter revealed new artwork for the patch, which contained a bunch of characters, most notably Bakool Ja Ja, a character that has exploded in popularity recently due to people thirsting over him. Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida (known by fans as Yoshi-P) then revealed some of the content that will be added to the game in Patch 7.1.
We knew that Patch 7.1 would be adding a bunch of new MSQ quests, but Yoshi-P was pretty hush about what they'd be about. He does hint that they'll focus primarily on Zoraal Ja, so it's possible we may dive into the character's backstory a little, as well as his relationship with his son. We do jump forward in time quite a lot in Dawntrail thanks to Alexandria nonsense, so there's a decent amount of story to explore there....
