Masahiro Sakurai, the esteemed creator and director of the Super Smash Bros. series, has announced the release date of his final video, while also teasing fans about a "special" finale episode that will be released afterward. Masahiro Sakurai is an incredibly well-respected developer in the industry, having worked on a number of Nintendo properties, like Kirby, Kid Icarus, and Super Smash Bros. among others. Ever since August 2022, Sakurai has been focused on uploading videos to his YouTube channel, "Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games."
Masahiro Sakurai's YouTube series covers a wide range of topics in relation to his career in the industry. Sometimes he shared some of the rare gaming collectibles he had collected over the years, some had him discussing things like the importance of modern video games having online updates, and others had him sharing various anecdotes of titles he worked on in the past, like the very first Kirby game. Despite his short tenure on YouTube, those videos will soon be coming to stop later this year.
