Last month, Sony announced that it's remastering Horizon Zero Dawn, but a developer at Nixxes — the studio behind the upcoming remaster — has hinted that more are underway.
As reported by PlayStation LifeStyle, the employee posted on LinkedIn, "After five PlayStation PC ports, the first big PlayStation content project from Nixxes Software is coming up!"
Sony desperately wants Horizon to be its flagship blockbuster, but Ghost of Tsushima fits the bill far better.
The key word here is "first", seemingly confirming reports that Horizon Zero Dawn won't be the last. VGC reporter Jordan Middler teased last month that Days Gone is also being remastered, which insider Jeff Grubb confirmed shortly after. Perhaps this is Nixxes' next project.
Last year, Nixxes lead software engineer Coen Frauenfelder said in an official PlayStation video that the studio is "working more and more on creating remasters", plural. It certainly looks like Sony is interested in bringing its backcatalogue up to par with other first-party PS5 releases, but whether we'll see any older games make the cut remains to be seen.
