BioWare has announced that Dragon Age: The Veilguard has gone gold ahead of its release on October 31. Dragon Age: The Veilguard has become one of the most highly anticipated triple-A game releases of Fall 2024, next to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Nearly a decade has passed since Dragon Age: Inquisition was released in 2014. Since then, BioWare's reputation has taken a hit after releasing games like the poorly received Mass Effect: Andromeda and 2019's Anthem, its failed swing at a live service title. Mass Effect Legendary Edition, a 2021 remaster of the original Mass Effect trilogy, won back some of BioWare's detractors, but by all accounts, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is shaping up to be the true return to form fans of the once beloved studio have been hoping to see.
