Packaging for the new AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor has been leaked online by a reputable insider ahead of the chip's rumored late October to early November release window. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is one of three new CPUs planned to be released soon by AMD.

This past August, rumors and speculation regarding AMD's new Zen 5 Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs began to spread online, and ASUS' own motherboard listing suggested that AMD's partners were already preparing for the release of new chips. These X3D chips feature AMD's signature 3D V-Cache technology, which stacks extra cache memory on top of the processor to improve performance in gaming and productivity tasks. The 9000X3D lineup reportedly includes the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Ryzen 9 9900X3D, and Ryzen 9 9950X3D processors, with the eight-core 9800X3D being the first of the three to launch globally. If the rumored October to November release window is true, an official reveal by AMD appears to be imminent.
