Monster Hunter Wilds Brings Highly Requested Features Like Crossplay & More

The upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds will hit PC and consoles in the first quarter of the new year, and an interview with the developers has revealed that the game will include some well-requested features at launch - including crossplay. The highly-anticipated RPG has big shoes to fill when it releases, but promotional trailers and details already have fan hopes at an all-time high.

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, designer Kaname Fujioka, and director Yuya Tokuda confirmed that crossplay should be available to all players at launch when speaking with Multiplayer.it during Tokyo Game Show 2024. Crossplay hasn't always been available on release for Monster Hunter titles, and some, like Monster Hunter World, still don't have crossplay support. But this won't be the only new feature brought to the game, according to the interview with the developers.

Based on the interview, the developers have made crossplay an integral part of the upcoming release, making it just one of many features MH fans can look forward to. Players will be able to disable crossplay at any time to better control matchmaking when looking for others to game with.
