Yet Another EA Game is Shutting Down in November 2024

EA has confirmed that NBA Live 18 is shutting down on November 7. EA keeps a running list of games that are set to have their servers closed in the near future, giving fans the chance to revisit the titles before they're taken offline. Oftentimes these shutdowns coincide with the game being delisted from digital storefronts, but there are times when the delistings happen well in advance of the online multiplayer services being shut down.

EA has shut down numerous games in 2024 alone, ranging from its older big budget games to smaller but still popular titles like the hit mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. October 2024 is relatively safe from EA shutdowns, though The Simpsons: Tapped Out is being delisted on October 31. November 2024 is a different story, with at least five EA games shutting down next month.

Fans of The Simpsons: Tapped Out are mourning the game in advance and saying goodbye to each of their own cities of Springfield.
