Xbox consoles received a helpful update on October 8, allowing Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S to detect new game updates sooner and more consistently. Xbox Insiders gain access to this new console update first, as Xbox updates typically undergo a gradual rollout to users in various regions.

The Xbox Insiders program allows its members to test out features and try out preview versions of OS builds that will be deployed to all Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S users at a later date. These updates are first released to the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring of Xbox Insiders, allowing them to test out the update and submit feedback on any issues that arise. Xbox users can sign up for the Xbox Insiders program for free and start as an Omega member. Over time, the user's Xbox Insider Level will increase, giving them access to preview builds at an earlier date.
