A major Italian translation error has spoiled the entirety of the plot of the Silent Hill 2 Remake for those using the feature. A radio message that was supposed to be muddied up to hide the revelation of the plot accidentally revealed what to expect from the ending of the title.
Very early on, there is a radio that can be discovered and used for the rest of the playthrough. Upon finding this radio, a message begins to play from the main character's wife, Mary, which is very hard to hear and understand. This distortion is meant to stop the player from uncovering the mystery within mere moments of booting up the title, but due to an error with the Italian subtitles, the entire message was displayed on the screen.
