PlayStation Plus has revealed the October additions to the Extra and Premium game catalog, including some exciting choices of very different genres. Although a lot of PlayStation Plus's hype revolves around the rotating library of monthly games for Essential subscribers, Extra and Premium get access to a much larger library of content that sticks around for longer. Not every month comes with major draws, but there's often at least one game for any type of fan.
As announced on the official PlayStation Blog, the PS Plus Game Catalog is adding Dead Island 2 in October, a chaotic zombie-slaying action RPG that launched in 2023 after a long wait. Dead Island 2 and all other games added this month will be available to Extra and Premium subscribers starting on October 15.
Accompanying Dead Island 2 are The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, Gris, Return to Monkey Island, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Firefighting Simulator The Squad, Overpass 2, Tour de France 2023, and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Premium subscribers get exclusive access to PS VR2 game The Last Clockwinder and classic titles Dino Crisis, Siren, and R-Type Dimensions EX.
