Green Day is releasing Dookie Demastered on a Game Boy cartridge. While almost no one expected the Game Boy to turn up in the latest video game news, the part where Green Day is involved may have also shocked many fans. It has been a couple of decades since the last Game Boy cart was made and released, so Green Day's announcement may seem like a huge surprise to both the music and gaming communities.
Green Day and video games aren't total strangers to each other. 2010 saw the punk trio featured in Green Day: Rock Band, a spin-off from the Rock Band franchise which some consider to be an awesome tribute to the band. While many say that the game didn't really break any barriers, some fans enjoyed the opportunity to play as Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt. The game allowed players to perform various songs, including the full American Idiot and Dookie albums. However, it looks like a song from Dookie might be making a comeback to a gaming platform.
A number of limited edition Analogue Pocket consoles are announced, with each one paying tribute to Nintendo’s popular handheld console.
