Xbox Game Pass Adds Hit Game With 'Overwhelmingly Positive' Reviews

Xbox Game Pass has added Inscryption to its content library. This is the third new title to be offered to Xbox Game Pass members since the beginning of October 2024.

Inscryption is a deck-building roguelike with escape room-inspired puzzles and horror elements made by indie developer Daniel Mullins. Its first prototype was made during a 2018 game jam with a "sacrifices must be made" theme, which was also its original title. Inscryption went on to become a huge hit following its original release in late 2021, and is nowadays touted as one of the best roguelikes with satisfying gameplay loops.

Inscryption took a year and a half to reach Xbox consoles, having done so in April 2023. Another 18 months later, the hit Devolver Digital-published indie roguelike is now also available on Xbox Game Pass, as Microsoft's subscription service added it on October 10.
