Some new data from credible sources shows that Grand Theft Auto Online's recently added Ludendorff Cemetery Survival game mode has been exceptionally popular with players. The reported turnout of hundreds of thousands of GTA Online players for the new zombie survival mode isn't all that surprising considering fans have long been requesting a return to North Yankton, the starting area of Grand Theft Auto 5's story mode.
Beyond the opening sequence, the snowy town of North Yankton is only featured one more time in GTA 5's Bury the Hatchet story mission, where Michael follows Trevor to the Ludendorff Cemetery and is then kidnapped by Triad members after a shootout. There's no way to access North Yankton legitimately otherwise, which disappointed many fans who wanted to explore the interesting area. Some players did figure out ways to glitch themselves into North Yankton in GTA Online, but these methods didn't work reliably.
Rockstar recently hinted at some big Halloween-related plans for Grand Theft Auto Online, and it is already shaping up to be an exciting prospect.
