Marvel Rivals Story Mode “Is Not Included” In Devs Plans Or Roadmap

The Marvel Rivals team has the full rights to the legendary IP. This includes the comics, previous video games, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Revealed to TheGamer, there will be more heroes added to the roster pre-launch.

But, while it has unprecedented access, lead game designer Guangyun Chen told a small selection of media at Tokyo Game Show that a story mode was never considered as part of the game's plans.

Chen was questioned on whether the team at NetEase had ever considered a story mode for its upcoming shooter.

“Our plan, when we got the IP, was to make this game from the beginning. It has always been quite firm. We are making a 6v6 superhero team-building game. We are making a PvP game. We are making a PvE game. A story mode is not included in our plan or roadmap,” Chen said.
