Guilty Gear Xrd publisher Aksys Games announced that their latest 2D Fighter, Blazing Strike, will have two DLC characters available post launch. The upcoming fighter, that reminds us all of the good ol’ pixel fighter days with elaborate intros, will be dropping these new characters after its’ October 17th launch with its’ already stacked 14 character run. One of them will be a vigilante named Atonio Calavera – a shadowy gunslinger with cybernetics to bring out that coolness. We haven’t seen him in action yet.
Blazing Strike will have Arcade, Versus, Training Modes, with Online Rollback, will be available for the game at launch. So far, Blazing Strike has been met with interesting reviews with high praise over bringing back the hand-drawn 2D styles that many fighting games now have abandoned for their 3D looks and the depth of how far the throwdowns go. Praise has been sung for its’ deep mechanics added into the game to rival some of its’ competitors. Blazing Strike has also made the Upcoming Games list on Steam today.
